The HR component of the program consists of 18 credits. An internship is required as part of the B.B.A. program, and HR students can choose to complete this internship in a human resources department close to the Ole Miss campus in northern Mississippi.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Human Resource Management

As part of the B.S.B.A. program, the human resource management concentration requires completion of the standard business core. This means that all students must take six credits in finance, accounting, economics, and management. Students must also take at least three credits in marketing, administration, and human resources. The human resource management concentration adds a minimum of 15 additional human resource credits to the curriculum, and includes an internship within an HR department at a southern Mississippi business. Students in the HR program are eligible for admission to the school’s business honor society and its local chapter of the SHRM. The program is also fully aligned with SHRM standards, giving students an added advantage of their competition for entry-level human resource management jobs.
