Earning an master’s degree in human resources online can advance your career and open doors essential to success in the industry. But what if you have been out of school for awhile or don’t have GRE or GMAT scores to submit with your application? Believe it or not, there are many excellent, accredited schools who do not require submission of GMAT or GRE scores when making an admission decision! According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of HR Specialists is projected to grow by 7% through 2026. Earning a master’s in HR degree online–without submitting any GRE or GMAT scores– can give you the training and skills needed to advance your HR career, with the flexibility of an online program.

We created this ranking of the top online master’s in HR without GRE or GMAT requirements based on information we received from the National Center for Education Statistics and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We looked for schools offering a master’s degree in HR online and narrowed our list to those that don’t require a GMAT or GRE score as part of their admission process. It is important to note that in lieu of these scores, some schools require a higher undergraduate GPA, letters of reference, or work experience to be fully admitted to the program. Every school is different so consult their admissions department prior to applying. All schools selected for consideration offer a curriculum that aligns with the guidelines set by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We then created and applied a ranking system using average graduate tuition rate and student to faculty ratio.
