Human resources is a critical component of businesses worldwide, and the human resources industry provides a growing number of opportunities for professionals who have earned an online master’s in human resources in Iowa. Sometimes called the “American Heartland” for its location in the Midwestern region of the U.S., Iowa is bordered by the Missouri River, the Big Sioux River, and the Mississippi River. As such, it is the only state surrounded by rivers on the eastern and western borders. Ranked as the 30th most populous state with one of the lowest crime rates in the country, Iowa is known for its agricultural-based economy in the heart of the Corn Belt. Despite being home to several of the highest ranked universities in the Midwest, there are only two online master’s in human resources degree programs in the state.
