BHSU’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offers high-quality, AACSB-accredited training in seven in-demand specializations, including Human Resource Management. This track infuses HR-related business knowledge starting the sophomore year. Following SHRM guidelines, the curriculum features courses in workforce analytics, human resource information systems, employment law, personnel policy, employee planning, compensation management, and workforce training/development. Students benefit from guest lecturers, group projects, and field trips to HR departments. Class sizes average 10 to 25 learners for one-on-one interaction with industry practitioners. Outside the classroom, BSBA students can participate in the Black Hills SHRM Chapter.

Human Resource Management: Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.)

Starting in the junior year, the Human Resource Management: Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) program equips USD students with the knowledge and skills to build vibrant workforces by ethically leveraging human capital. As freshmen and sophomores, students complete the pre-business requirements and general education. The 60-credit, upper-division major will delve into organizational theory, business law, HRIS, workforce selection, employee training, labor relations, and compensation. Students are encouraged to become members of the SHRM for added career development assistance. There’s also the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and Beacom Consulting Group.
