These laws can affect occupational safety and health as well as equal employment opportunities. The adoption of the Affordable Care Act has many companies seeking staff who are able to interpret the laws and apply them to company needs. Named for William G. Rohrer, a businessman, community leader and government official, the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University offers a wide range of quality programs designed to prepare students for today’s competitive business world. Human Resource Management

Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business offers a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management that is aligned with the SHRM Curriculum Guidebook. The program provides students with insight into the increasingly competitive world of human resources and business. Students develop an understanding of the critical role that human resources plays in the business world with a blend of classroom and hands-on experiences. Internships and project-based learning is available to all students. The programs are grounded in values of workplace equity and respect in today’s diverse working population. Students develop an understanding of complex laws related to employment as well as differentiating between strategic and human resource management activities.
