California Human Resources Conference in Long Beach

Scheduled for August 27-29, 2018 in Long Beach, California, the California Human Resources Conference is organized by the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PHRA). The event will have more than 2,500 attendees and 70 speakers. Olympic athletes and Shark Tank experts are headline speakers. California State Legislative & HR Conference

The 2018 California State Legislative & Human Resources conference sponsored by CalSHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) will be held April 25-27 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, California. An employment law-focused conference, CalSHRM is the California affiliate of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the largest association of its type. The conference provides continuing education and professional development credits for association members, including state-specific CEUs and SHRM professional development credits. The conference is focused on California employment law updates, legislative forecasts, and additional sessions devoted to working with legislators and human resources departments.

HR West

Set for March 5-7 in the San Francisco Bay Area, HR West will cover forward-looking human resources topics with the theme of “HR in the most innovative place on earth.” Sponsored by the Northern California Human Resources Association, the conference will feature a keynote speech from Ann Tardy, former Silicon Valley corporate attorney and entrepreneur. Emcee Maureen Berkner Boyt brings expertise in women’s leadership to the conference. More than 80 sessions will offer cutting-edge information on compensation & benefits, employment law & legislation, employee & labor relations, leadership, and strategy. HR professional association members can earn state, regional, or national continuing education credits.


PIHRA Legal Update

Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) will hold three Legal Update conferences in 2018. The one-day conferences will cover employment and pre-employment screening, California human resources compliance, Fair Labor Standards Act compliance, sexual harassment issues and a legislative forecast. The 2018 PIHRA Legal Updates are scheduled for January 9, 2018, at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California; January 17 at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles; and February 1 at the Anaheim Hilton.

Human Capital Institute Inclusive Diversity Conference

The Human Capital Institute’s Inclusive Diversity Conference for 2018 will be held April 12-13 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, California. The conference’s theme is that diversity functions as a driver of business innovation and success. Examples of effective diversity and innovation include Bank of America, using technology for innovative recruiting, improving retention through an inclusive recruiting strategy, and global leadership models that embrace cultural diversity.
